Yes! If your gutters aren’t functioning properly or they’re really old, your house can suffer from expensive water damage or foundation problems as a result. Plus, if you replace your gutters around the time you’re painting the exterior, the beautiful results can last much longer and be better protected from future damage. Luckily, our founders, Karl and Marjorie Pickens, also own Platinum Gutters and can easily provide you with this service. Or we can collaborate with the gutter company of your choice and schedule the work accordingly. That way, you can spare yourself from expensive repairs down the road and enjoy your gorgeous home for many years to come.
Initial Set Up & Preparation –The first step is to power wash all of the surfaces that will be painted in order to remove unpleasant substances like sand, mildew, dirt, and more. Additionally. Loose chips of paint will be eliminated through hand scraping. Please plan to shut off your sprinklers, relocate any outside plants and pieces of art, and secure pets. You can learn more about the preparation phase by visiting our Getting Started page. Home Painters Aurora CO
Absolutely! Yes, we are primarily a painting service company, but our skills reach beyond the paintbrush.  As you likely know, we can get some pretty crazy weather here in North Texas, and the wood surfaces outside your home can show it. Over time, rain and hail can cause these surfaces to become damaged or rotten. On our team, we have master carpenters who can replace wood for HardiePlank lap siding, the fascia, and the soffit—just to name a few. As with our painting work, we guarantee your satisfaction with our carpentry, ensuring that your house stays beautiful and strong regardless of what Texas weather throws your way. Without a doubt, it's a look that rarely goes wrong. When you have a traditionally styled home with plenty of trim and other details, you best serve that home aesthetically when you increase the contrast between the trim and the field color. For the broad white trim of this new-construction home, Illinois-based JB Architecture wisely shaded down the field color's gray to emphasize its difference from the white trim. HomeAdvisor uses an extensive screening process to screen businesses and business owners/principals. We perform this screening when a business applies to join our network and, if the business is accepted, whenever concerns are brought to our attention. If you have concerns that a pro in our network doesn't meet these standards, please contact us so we can investigate. We're committed to maintaining a network of trusted home service businesses, and those who don't meet our criteria will be rejected or promptly removed from our network. Aurora House Painting
The frequency of your exterior repainting depends on several factors, including where you live, what your house is made out of, and what it was painted with. In North Texas, we’re protected from the salt sprays our coastal friends down south must consider. Even still, strong sunshine and excessive heat during the summer can take a serious toll on the life of your paint. Dark, oil-based paints may fade especially quickly. The paint may blister, too, or form bubbles on the surface. So there’s no concrete answer for how often to repaint your home — but if you start to see chips, cracks, bleaching, blistering, or any other issue that takes away from the appearance of your home, it’s time to consider repainting. We were more than happy with the work Southern Painting did for us!  They were very patient with us during a bumpy time in life....causing one delay after another (on our end) and when we were finally able to get started, they were ready to go!  Their crew was efficient, considerate and careful.  They did a great job painting our exterior while protecting everything else from any overspray.  Our house looks beautiful and refreshed!  I highly recommend!  We worked ... Thorough communication and follow through, good quality work, and very reasonable pricing. We are quite pleased with the work that was just completed to the exterior of home. They are very well organized with presenting estimates and collecting payment. We will definitely use them in the future and recommend them to others.Amanda PerkinsAugust 19, 2020 Aurora House Painting
As an initial step, we’ll first stop by to take a close look at all of the exterior surfaces of your house during a consultation. This will help us determine its needs and your desired vision as well. Then, a comprehensive, completely personalized proposal will be drafted that includes all of the necessary information about cost. This estimate is free and has NO strings attached, even if you end up choosing a different painting company. We stand behind our top-tier quality and reasonable prices! Aurora Home Painting
Can you balance blues, whites, and reds on a home exterior without going the full-on patriotic red, white, and blue route? Taylor Cabot, a Portland, Oregon architect, did just that with his 1923 cottage. Saying that he most decidedly "did not want the house to look like an American flag," he went with a deeper, shadier blue for the main body of the house. The red, too, was not a bright patriotic red but, like the blue, was shaded down into a darker maroon.  Aurora Home Painting
The thick canvas stays in place, so you don’t need to tape it, and you can use it to cover any surface. Plastic drop cloths are slippery to walk on or set a ladder on and don’t stay in place. Even worse, paint spills on plastic stay wet, and they can end up on your shoes and get tracked through the house.  Canvas is slippery on hard floors, so rosin paper is better over vinyl, tile and hardwood. Tape the sheets together and to the floor to provide a nonslip surface. House Painting Aurora Colorado
Exterior paint also needs a dry surface for an even coat and proper adherence. Unfortunately, moisture isn’t a problem in Texas right now. If a fluke rain storm does occur, it’s best to wait at least one full day before painting. Your professional painting company can discuss your exterior paint job to help you understand when is the optimal time for repainting. Aurora Home Painting
